How to remove Write Protection on Fanuc CNC?
Video on Youtube
This video primarily explains how to resolve the issue of parameters not being input on a FANUC CNC machine tool system. The core steps are as follows:
Remove Write Protection
Turn the key switch on the control panel to the green position (remove write protection).
Enter MDI mode (manual data input).
Modify System Parameters
Enter the SYSTEM interface and search for parameter number:
3299: Change all bits to 0 (especially the last one).
3201: Change the leftmost bit to 0.
Save the changes and return to the parameter setting interface.
Set Write Protection
Enter the OFS/SET (parameter setting) interface and set the write protection parameter to 1. Parameters can now be input normally.
After completion, you can change the write protection back to 0 to restore safe mode.
Precautions
It is recommended to back up system parameters before modifying them to avoid accidental operation that could cause equipment malfunction.
Some parameters require a system restart to take effect; refer to the equipment manual for specific details.
