How to select tools for different materials
CNC machining should be divided into two categories: low-speed machining and high-speed machining. Ordinary machines refer to machine tools whose revolutions are less than 8000 rpm, and high-speed machines refer to machine tools whose revolutions can exceed 12000. Machine tools between 8000 and 12000 are called For quasi-high speed machines, this parameter is only for ordinary machines.

CNC machining technology is customarily divided into three categories, roughing, medium polishing (semi-finishing), smooth knife (finishing milling). Generally speaking, it is better to use larger tools (flying cutters and end milling cutters) for roughing and use larger cutting depths and steps. Distance (heavy cutting) in order to quickly remove a large amount of material. The light knife is operated with light cutting (small depth of cut, small step) with a higher number of revolutions and feeds to achieve perfect surface accuracy. Use end mills (or fillet cutters) and fly cutters for smooth planes, end mills for smooth vertical walls, and ball cutters (or fillet cutters) for smooth surfaces.
In the process of processing, appropriate knives should be selected according to the material hardness of the processed parts, such as plastic, wood, etc., and domestic white steel knives can be used. Imported steel knives and domestic high-quality steel knives should be used for copper, aluminum and steel with hardness within 38 degrees Rockwell (such as 45 steel, ace material). For materials with greater hardness (such as hardened die steel), alloy knives, titanium-plated knives or tungsten steel knives should be preferred.

This parameter is for ordinary CNC machine tools, and describes various tools (flying knife, white steel, end milling cutter, tungsten steel flat milling cutter, white steel ball cutter, tungsten steel ball cutter) for roughing and smoothing. Due to the variety of processing materials, this watch only uses representative aluminum alloys, No. 45 steel, and stainless steel to illustrate.
