Z Axis Sizes Not Stable

Dear CNCmakers, we have a lathe machine with GSK980TDc controller, the Z direction sizes of the workpieces seemed not stable, we have set the zero point of the Z axis, but sometimes it comes a bit forward, sometimes it is a bit backward, what could be wrong?
